Summer learning journey

tec Tuesday

today we had to write some math cards for us to learn. we did only times tables. i did 8 times tables because i dont know them. i learnt them but not really. i did because i was board as. and then we have to take them back to Sckool. if we dont then we will get trouble

Fun run

On a sunny day we went down to the train station the sun was glooming on me I got hot and hotter.
We went to the train station to go to the United Kawakawa rugby club to do the fun run. We got to the train but before we got there a man told us the rules for safety. After going on the train we arrived at taumarere and when we got there we had to do our chant. Ngapipito went first there one was cool. Then Tirohanga then waiomio then taumarere. After our chant we got in to running it went  how old we were so it went 5’s then 6’s then 7s 8s then 9s it was time to shine so I got ready I was nervous. 321 go I ran my hardest and in front I was. Ran to whaea sandy then mrs bower then all the other teacher I did some of the obsicools there I ran when we got by horis I throw mud at hirini and then I ran around the rugby field and I could here everybody cheering for me and then I went to the finish line. I sat by mrs Norman and she told me move you are not surposse to be here so I went and had lunch and the end.

Maths

This morning we learnt how to do time tables by using hundreds,tens and ones. My nan is a teacher she was helping me with my times table. She help me with all my answers and I found out how to do it. What I need to work on not getting help so I could try and find it out myself. If I get help all the time. When I go to college I won’t get help from the teachers at all. And the second thing I need to work on is writing it out properly in my book all then when my teacher would ether tell me to do it again.

Matariki

At matariki we celebrated by having a big hangi. The whole school got one. NRP and NRRT did the kumara,riwai. And the boys in NRRT did the hangi hole. They had to get up at 5:00 to get the hangi ready. But when the hangi got ready everyone was excited to have one. I got excited to and I going crazy for the hangi. I could feel the vibes. My next is to do more riwai. I’ve learned how to do riwai a lot faster. If I did a riwai a lot faster it would make my job a lot easier. Josh did a interview about how we celebrate matariki. The end

persuasive

Today I’ve been learning how to do persuasive writing. We did a argument about should we have animals as a pet. Whakaae was agree and whakaahe was disagree . I was whakaae. Disagree won the argument. I thought that having a pet is all right but there is a lot of ideas to not have a pet. And we
did a OREO writing. the top cookie was opinion. The middle was reasons and example. The Botton cookie is  another opinion. My next step is to use structure and language.the skill that I’m learning is to do persuasive,OREO writing. The hard part was to that we didn’t back up our topic.

What I have been learning

I have been learning how to do a narrative writing.what narrative I been learning is to add imagery using adjectives and detail,punctuation. My writing is coming to life. I find narrative writing hard because making your story’s come to life is not easy. It was challenging for me because when I don’t make my story’s come to life I get help by my teacher. And then I get the hang it.

In the morning I was dog

One froggy morning I was a Great Dane. A good dog. A dog that goes for long walks but one frosty day I wasn’t allowed to go for walks I had nothing warm to wear so I
had to stay home all by myself.

I was hungry so hungry I could eat everything but I can’t reach the cupboard I wait and wait I find away to get delicious dog roll there’s food outside I said. I approve to open the door Tick! Boom! I open the front door.

I quickly run outside and snatch the delicious dog roll I start to eat and eat like a angry shark.

with wheae cara. She was reading a book.The name to the book was huhu`s first hunt.after the first page she told us do you see any koru and funny jokes. after reading the book we did some koru art.we learned how to blend,die and to use cold and hot colours
