Matariki

At matariki we celebrated by having a big hangi. The whole school got one. NRP and NRRT did the kumara, riwai. And the boys in NRRT did the hangi hole. They had to get up at 5:00 to get the hangi ready. But when the hangi got ready everyone was excited to have one. I got excited to and I going crazy for the hangi. I could feel the vibes. My next is to do more riwai. I’ve learned how to do riwai a lot faster. If I did a riwai a lot faster it would make my job a lot easier. Josh did a interview about how we celebrate matariki. The end

  2. Kia Ora Sonny, my name is Mark. I am a student at Paihia School, I like your blogpost about matariki. I guess everyone was tired when they woke up at 5:00. I noticed in your blogpost you were feeling the vibes when you were at the beach. My favourite part was when you were going crazy for the hangi I guess you were starving. Maybe you could tell us if you saw the stars or anything awesome at the beach. Have you ever tasted King Crab?
